FAQs

Is Dr. Nguyen the right practitioner for me?

Beyond selecting a clinician with extensive experience and training in your areas of concern, you are encouraged to seek out someone who provides a sense of comfort and safety, and whom you feel a personal connection.  Choosing a practitioner as widely trained as Dr. Nguyen ensures comprehensive care for the duration of your work together.  To see if Dr. Nguyen is a good fit for your needs, please call (415) 448-7342 for a complimentary 20-minute phone consultation.

Is the information I provide confidential?

Dr. Nguyen offers a confidential and private environment. All communication, including written records, is protected by law and can only be released with your permission. For children and adolescents, a parent or guardian provides consent.  Under California Law, there are a few exceptions that she must follow. If there is a (1) reasonable suspicion of child, dependent or elder abuse or neglect, (2) a client presents a danger to themselves, others, property, or is gravely disabled, and (3) a client's family members communicate to Dr. Nguyen that the client presents a serious danger to others, she will disclose only necessary information. These situations are rare, and if it does occur, she will do her best to discuss the situation with client's prior to any action.

What are your fees?
